Art & Culture tour

Guanajuato, Mexico

January 25 - February 1, 2025

About

Spend seven nights in Mexico’s cultural capital drawing, learning, and picking up a little Spanish. Learn how to document your experiences through collaged drawings in a sketchbook.

Once a silver mining town, now a UNESCO world heritage site, Guanajuato has been a rich creative source for its guests.

After waking up in a central hotel, each day will be filled with drawing outings to the most visually captivating locations, guided cultural outings to significant sites in the town, and art lessons from acclaimed Calgary art instructor Mark Vazquez-Mackay. Half of each day will be spent on a given location drawing.

Both of your hosts are bi-lingual, have lived in the region, and will be on hand to guide you through this cultural experience.

No drawing experience necessary.

All levels of experience are welcome.
